Châtel is a real family village with a number of alternatives for families with children. With facilities available for children of all ages we are able to give them an amazing holiday experience. Not only can children participate in most of the activities listed in the Summer and Winter sections but there are also following options available

Jack Frosts has been operating a very successful winter childcare service for 10 years, with an emphasis on quality care, where parents will confidently leave their children knowing they will be safely cared for, and also have a great holiday.

Their staff are chosen for their enthusiasm and caring attitude, and all have sound childcare experience.

During the summer care is provided at your chalet/apartment, although many of the activities will be outdoors in the town and surrounding countryside.

For babies and young children, they will provide care for mornings, afternoons or full days. Weather permitting, much time will be spent outdoors, with activities such as mini rambles, pony rides, swimming/paddling, carousel rides interspersed with arts and crafts, picnic lunches, story and theme time- come with us to visit Heidi’s village to see grandfather milk the goats.

Older children can join us on tailor made activity days which could include hiking, mountain biking, archery, swimming, canoeing, nature trails and barbeques. they also offer an evening babysitting service (10 euros per hr).

Créche

Open every day, in the season between 8:00am and 7:00pm, Les Mouflets crèche caters for children from 3 months to 6 years old with very professional and friendly child minders, some of whom speak English. Your child/children can be looked after for the mornings and/or the afternoons and they will even be provided with lunch.

Costs range from approximately 25 Euros for half a day to 200 Euros for 6 full days including lunch and snacks

Childrens ski school

Marmottons - Village de Marmottons run by the ESF, Le Village des Marmottons is a children’s ski school who cater for children from 3 to 6 years of age. It is open from 8.30am to 5.30pm and your children can be booked in for the mornings and/or the afternoons (with lunch included if they are there for the whole day).

ESI Ecole de Ski
This international ski school also provides morning or afternoon group lessons for children from
4 years old (maximum group of 6 children).
